This study aimed to analyze how digital media can support learning in an educational context. The problem addressed was the integration of these technologies in the teaching-learning process and their impact on student performance. The research, of a bibliographic nature, sought to review existing studies on the use of digital tools in teaching, highlighting their potential, challenges and the effects on the cognitive, social and emotional development of students. In the development, it was discussed how digital technologies favor engagement and personalization of learning, in addition to highlighting challenges, such as unequal access to technologies and teacher training. The final considerations highlighted that, although digital media offer significant opportunities for improving education, their effectiveness depends on strategic implementation and the educational context. The research indicated that, although the results are promising, there is a need for new studies to understand the use of digital media in education, in order to ensure inclusive and quality learning.
