This article is part of a master's research in Education Sciences. Currently, several indicators point to the need for a reevaluation of school pedagogical strategies, influenced by technological advancements and globalization, which have expanded access to information. It is evident that students increasingly use these technologies, generating divergent opinions among educators: while some perceive risks such as distraction, others see opportunities. Given this context, this work proposes to present the cell phone as a didactic-pedagogical resource. The study aims to analyze whether teachers use Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), specifically cell phones, for teaching purposes, and to investigate the approaches employed. Methodologically, the research adopts a qualitative approach, substantiated by a case study conducted at a school in Santa Cruz do Capibaribe – PE. The choice of location is due to the rapid local economic development driven by the textile industry, which facilitates student access to mobile devices. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires applied to students and teachers. The results revealed that, although teachers show receptivity and recognize the importance of the cell phone as a didactic tool, many still do not use it effectively, pointing to the lack of specific training and incentives as the main barriers to its implementation.
