This article aims to assess the inclusion of students with disabilities in the regular classroom and the functionalities of regent teachers and specialized educational service teachers, as well as the challenges faced by these professionals, highlighting the importance of the teacher's joint work teacher and specialized teacher of specialized educational care for the learning and development of these students. In this context, the brief survey was carried out on Brazilian legislation on the inclusion of people with disabilities and special education. It also presents a study carried out in a municipal public school that serves students with disabilities in the regular classroom through interview questionnaires that have been applied to teachers who follow up with students with disabilities. It concludes by emphasizing the importance of the joint work of the regular teacher and the specialized educational service teacher as a practice for the learning of these students, in order to promote inclusively and quality teaching, eliminating barriers and ensuring the educational and social process of students with disabilities.
