Education is the foundational building block in the life of any human being. It constitutes a universal right and a shared responsibility between the family and the State. Moreover, it is encouraged by society, as it plays a fundamental role in individual development, preparing for the exercise of citizenship, and qualifying for work. When combined with musical learning, education can have significant impacts on improving the lives of children and young students, including in educational and professional contexts, contributing to social quality as a whole. Thus, this study aims to analyze how musical learning developed by the Orquestra Criança Cidadã (OCC) impacts the educational and professional lives of participating youth. For this purpose, a qualitative study was conducted at the Coque Center, in Recife, in the state of Pernambuco, through field research with a questionnaire applied to participants of the OCC who are over 18 years old and a sample of the institution's teachers. It was found that music, as a multidisciplinary learning tool, is capable of transforming important aspects of development, giving young people the opportunity to become qualified for the job market, thus becoming agents of change within their communities and reflecting quality of life for society.
