Liberating education, grounded in Paulo Freire’s pedagogy, seeks to develop critical individuals through dialogue, awareness‑raising, and independence in learning. Unlike banking education, which reproduces knowledge passively, this approach encourages students’ active participation in the construction of knowledge. The use of generative themes and methodologies such as culture circles and project‑based learning supports a transformative education capable of positively impacting society. Although the implementation of this pedagogy faces structural challenges, its potential for social transformation makes it essential for forming individuals committed to changing the world around them.
