Abstract

This article investigates electoral propaganda in Brazil within the scope of social media, highlighting the main legislation on the subject and its rise as the primary means of political dissemination and voter engagement. It also examines the mechanisms employed by the judiciary to monitor and sanction the spread of fake news. The research adopts a bibliographic methodology, drawing on books, scientific articles, current legislation, and jurisprudence. The study aims to present the new reality of electoral propaganda through virtual communication channels and to identify the judicial instruments used to ensure balance in the democratic process.
