Abstract

This article aimed to analyze the effects of physiotherapy treatment in a patient diagnosed with left lateral epicondylitis treated at the Physiotherapy Teaching and Research Clinic of Iguaçu University (UNIG). This is a case study in which clinical evaluation methods were used, including inspection, palpation, measurement of range of motion, muscle strength tests, perimetry, sensitivity tests, reflexes, functional and specific tests. The physiotherapy treatment consisted of stretching, strengthening exercises, pronation and supination training, and fine motor exercises. After 22 sessions, a significant reduction in pain, reduction in swelling, normalization of muscle strength, increased functionality, and restoration of hand grip strength were observed. It is concluded that the structured and progressive physiotherapy intervention proved effective in recovering the function of the affected limb, favoring symptom reduction, biomechanical improvement, and return to daily activities, highlighting physiotherapy as a fundamental approach in the conservative management of lateral epicondylitis.
