This article investigates the effects of social and geographical factors in the Amazon region on operational leadership within the Amazonas Military Police (PMAM). Based on documentary analysis and a bibliographic review of recent studies, it examines elements such as vast territorial extension, predominance of river routes, social vulnerability, criminal organizations, and institutional constraints. The findings reveal that effective police command in the region requires adaptive competencies, emotional balance, and decision-making ability in challenging contexts. The research concludes that successful Amazonian police leadership involves technical expertise, social sensitivity, and innovative skills, continually adjusted to local territorial characteristics.
