The contemporary school is immersed in a context of profound social, cultural, technological, and emotional transformations. In this scenario, school management emerges as an articulating force capable of giving meaning to educational processes and promoting innovative, critical, and humanizing practices. Based on a qualitative literature review, this article analyzes the role of school leaders in fostering innovative methodologies, understanding the school as a living and complex social space. The results discussed indicate that democratic leadership, teacher appreciation, and sensitivity to students’ realities are essential elements for consolidating meaningful and sustainable pedagogical transformations. The study concludes that educational innovation becomes more effective when built through dialogue, active listening, and collective engagement, reaffirming the school as an ethical, cultural, and emancipatory environment.
