Abstract

Literacy in Specialized Educational Services (AEE) aims to focus on the specific needs of each student, using strategies to adapt materials. In the specific case of students with autism spectrum disorder, in addition to the necessary adaptations of materials, methods such as visual aids, positive reinforcement, and targeted instruction should also be used. The specialized education professional must have ongoing training, building a bond of trust for better coordination with the family and the school, ensuring inclusion. Multidisciplinary support, family, school, and AEE are fundamental for the legal exercise of the central role of inclusion, transforming them into access to learning and social interaction.
