Abstract

Introduction: Anxiety is one of the most prevalent mental disoders worldwide, significantly impacting individuals’ quality of life and represeting a challenge for healthcare services. In this context, nursing plays a central role in care, from the early identification of signs and symptoms to the implementation of therapeutic and humanized interventions. Objective: This study aimed to understand the role of nursing in the care and treatment of anxiety disorders in clinical settings. Metodologia: In integrative literature review was carried out using the SciELO and BVS databases, covering the period from 2005 to 2025. A total of 5 articles were used for research. Result: The analysis showed that nursing practice is essential in managing anxiety, involving active listening, guidance on medication use, encouragement of relaxation techniques, and Family involvement in the therapeutic process. The fidings also highlight the importance of continuous professional training and humanized care, which strengthen therapeutic bonds and contribute to better clinical outcomes. Conclusion: It is cocluded that nursing, when integrated into a multidisciplinary team and committed to mental health, plays a decisive role in providing comprehensive and effective care for individuals with axiety disorders.
