Breast cancer is the most frequent malignant neoplasm among women and represents a significant public health problem due to its high morbidity and mortality rates and the physical and psychosocial impacts of treatment. This study analyzed epidemiological indicators of breast cancer morbidity and mortality in Bahia, comparing Salvador and Juazeiro between 2015 and 2025, and discussed the importance of multidisciplinary rehabilitation after mastectomy. This is an observational, descriptive, and analytical study with a quantitative approach, using secondary data from the SIM, SIH/SUS, SIA/SUS, and SISCAN systems. Mortality rates, hospitalizations, length of hospital stay, mammograms, and chemotherapy and radiotherapy procedures were evaluated. The results showed a higher absolute number of deaths and hospitalizations in Salvador, while Juazeiro presented proportionally higher rates and mortality in younger age groups, as well as less access to screening and oncological services. It is concluded that regional inequalities persist in diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation, reinforcing the need to strengthen cancer care in rural areas.
