Abstract

This article explores the negative impacts of civil emancipation in the context of Brazilian law. It analyzes the disadvantages inherent in anticipating the age of majority, addressing the irrevocability of the act, the premature responsibility imposed on the emancipated person, the limitations that persist despite emancipation, the potential loss of parental protection, and the complex issue of parental civil liability. The study aims to deepen understanding of the challenges and vulnerabilities faced by emancipated minors, contributing to the legal and academic debate on the adequacy and consequences of this institution.
