Childhood adultization, that is, the early exposure of children and adolescents to behaviors, responsibilities, images and practices typical of adult life, has intensified with the massive presence of social networks, marketing strategies and cultural changes. The phenomenon poses risks to the biopsychosocial development of minors and, in some manifestations, incorporates dimensions that may constitute criminal offenses or violations of the rights guaranteed by the Statute of Children and Adolescents (ECA). This paper proposes a critical analysis of the phenomenon from the perspective of criminal law and the ECA, identifying normative gaps, applicability of existing criminal types, the role of public authorities, and proposals for preventive and reparatory measures. It is concluded that the normative response requires interdisciplinary articulation, administrative and civil protection (ECA), criminal repression when crimes are configured, platform accountability, and public policies for digital education and family support.
