Introduction: Preeclampsia is a severe obstetric condition characterized by hypertension and systemic dysfunctions after the 20th week of gestation, being one of the leading causes of maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality. General objective: To analyze the pharmacist’s contribution to preventing preeclampsia complications, focusing on clinical monitoring and medication counseling. Methodology: This study is an integrative literature review developed through the analysis of scientific articles, dissertations, theses, and national and international guidelines published between 2023 and 2025, retrieved from SciELO, PubMed, LILACS, Google Scholar, and the Virtual Health Library (VHL). Results: The findings show that pharmaceutical practice is crucial for the early detection of warning signs, the promotion of rational drug use, the prevention of drug interactions, and treatment adherence. The pharmacist’s educational role is also emphasized, as clear guidance on pharmacotherapy, non-pharmacological measures, and preventive care strengthens pregnant women’s autonomy. The incorporation of telemonitoring technologies proved relevant to expand the reach and effectiveness of care, enabling timely interventions even in contexts with geographical barriers. Conclusion: It is concluded that pharmacists play an essential and strategic role in promoting safe, humanized, and effective care in the management of preeclampsia, although challenges remain regarding their full integration into healthcare teams and the need for stronger public health policies.
