The present article aims to investigate the importance of technological resources for the enrichment of learning in the early years of education. Accordingly, the study found that a school open to the use of technology, as well as professionals qualified to employ it, demonstrates significant results in students’ meaningful learning within the school environment, considering that the contributions are positive both internally and externally. The objective was to identify how the lack of technological implementation and the inadequate use of technological tools have affected the purpose of education. The research adopts a qualitative approach and was conducted in a public rural school (EM) located in the city center of the municipality of Escada. The participants of the study included two teachers, referred to as P1 and P2, and one principal, referred to as GE.The research results confirmed the initial hypothesis, as the respondents agreed that the lack of investment in technology in schools, as well as the absence of professional training to handle digital resources in the classroom, negatively affects both teaching practices and student learning, leading to unsatisfactory outcomes. This article is grounded in the considerations of Adão (2023, p.7), who emphasizes that the theme of technology should be duly valued by different social sectors, including society, the municipality, schools, and teachers in the state of Pernambuco.
