Mental health has become an increasingly relevant topic in public health policies, especially considering the growing incidence of mental disorders and their social and economic impact. In this context, nursing welcoming plays a central role in promoting humanized and effective care. This study aimed to analyze the impact of the welcoming performed by the nursing team for patients with mental disorders in Primary Health Care. It is an integrative literature review with a qualitative approach, conducted in the SciELO, Google Scholar, and Acervo + Index Base databases, covering publications between 2015 and 2025. Ten articles that met the inclusion criteria were selected. The results showed that humanized welcoming is essential to strengthen the bond between professionals and patients, improve treatment adherence, and promote psychosocial rehabilitation. However, there is a need for continuous training of nursing teams and greater integration between mental health services and primary care. It is concluded that nurses, by acting empathetically and with professional qualification, directly contribute to the humanization of care and to the strengthening of public mental health policies in Brazil.
