Abstract

Contemporary obstetrics is undergoing a transformation driven by the incorporation of emerging digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), automated ultrasound, wearable devices, and remote monitoring. The concept of Women's Health 5.0 proposes an integrated, predictive, and woman-centered care model, aligned with personalized medicine and the digitalization of maternal-fetal care. This study aims to analyze the applications of these technologies in promoting safer, more intelligent, and humanized perinatal care. Specific objectives include: (i) investigating the role of AI in gestational ultrasound; (ii) describing the impact of wearables on remote pregnancy monitoring; (iii) evaluating the effectiveness of predictive algorithms in screening for obstetric complications; (iv) discuss the ethical and social implications of the digitalization of reproductive health. This is a narrative literature review conducted between 2015 and 2025 in international databases, using descriptors related to digital obstetrics. The results indicate that technological integration reduces adverse events, expands access to prenatal care, and strengthens women's empowerment. However, these advances require professional training, ethical regulation, and public policies that ensure the equitable use of these tools.
