Pediatric radiology is a medical specialty focused on the diagnosis and, in some cases, treatment of diseases in children using imaging tests. In pediatrics, humanization is essential for improving children's quality of life, providing an effective experience for reducing stress in children and their families. To understand the impact of humanization on the pediatric radiology care process, highlighting benefits for patients, families, and healthcare professionals. This study was designed as an exploratory and descriptive literature review, conducted in electronic databases such as PubMed/MEDLINE, SciELO, LILACS, and Google Scholar. Descriptors in Portuguese and English were used to construct the study: Reception; Anxiety; Humanization; Pediatric Radiology. Articles published between 2020 and 2025, available in full text, in Portuguese, English, or Spanish, were included. Duplicate materials in the databases and studies that did not directly address the topic were excluded. First, we identified 20 studies for this paper. Then, after applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria that had already been defined, a total of 10 articles were selected for this paper. The practice of pediatric radiology represents a huge challenge in child care. However, in this study, we sought to demonstrate that, when combined with humanization, the environment can be transformed into a welcoming space, where both children and their families are treated with respect and listened to actively.
