This work aims to analyze the influence of home automation on energy efficiency in domestic environments, considering technological advancements and the growing demand for sustainable solutions. The research seeks to compare electricity consumption in homes before and after the implementation of automation systems based on sensors, intelligent controllers, and IoT (Internet of Things) devices. The methodology adopted combines experimental measurements of energy consumption, installation of automation equipment, and comparative analysis of data obtained in different usage scenarios. Preliminary results indicate a potential reduction of up to 30% in electricity consumption, demonstrating economic advantages for consumers and environmental benefits by reducing the demand for electricity generation and pollutant gas emissions. Thus, the study shows that home automation represents a viable and promising strategy to reconcile comfort, economy, and sustainability in the residential sector.
