Gamification has established itself as an effective pedagogical approach for fostering engagement, motivation, and meaningful learning in various healthcare settings. In veterinary medicine, its application is still in the development phase, especially in anesthesiology education, which demands technical competence, clinical thinking, and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations. This article examines the role of gamification as an auxiliary resource in veterinary anesthesiology education, investigating its advantages, limitations, and future prospects. Based on an analysis of the current literature, it appears that the implementation of educational games and digital simulations can contribute to improving anesthetic skills, minimizing errors in clinical settings, and improving retention of complex content. The potential of gamification in conjunction with realistic simulation, virtual reality, and active methodologies in veterinary medicine education is still under debate.
