As digital evolution advances, it is also possible to analyze the realistic interversions required within the virtual universe. Therefore, it becomes essential to examine the construction of urban and cultural identities in virtual worlds, highlighting the role of architects and urban planners in the scenography of digital games. Based on the growing relevance of virtual environments in contemporary society, the study seeks to understand how these spaces can convey authentic cultural references and avoid stereotypes. The general objective is to analyze the role of architects and urban planners in the design of virtual spaces, specifically in digital games, in order to expand the profession beyond the physical environment and enrich the games with genuine representations. The research is applied, exploratory, qualitative, and bibliographic in nature, structured in stages that include the collection and analysis of scientific studies, theoretical correlation between architecture and digital scenography, and identification of the architect’s possible roles in this field. The results indicate that the inclusion of this professional in the gaming market is both viable and necessary, as their spatial, historical, and urban knowledge enhances the environments, making them more realistic and immersive. It is concluded that this research contributes to expanding the field of architecture and urbanism in light of technological transformations, opening new perspectives for interdisciplinary work and consolidating the architect’s role within the digital universe.
