This article sought to reflect on tolerance as a virtue for dialogue and the resolution of socio-political conflicts. The fact that in recent days, through social media, I have noticed numerous debates and news reports of political events marked by intolerance, which directly and indirectly impact the lives of Mozambicans, is the main reason for the interest in this study. The study is based on a qualitative, exploratory, bibliographic paradigm. The following guiding question was considered: to what extent does tolerance as a virtue for dialogue contribute significantly to the resolution of socio-political conflicts? Based on the results obtained and the analysis performed, it was found that the consequence of tolerance as a virtue for dialogue promotes good coexistence, liberating and helping individuals establish bonds with one another, as well as enabling personal connections provided by the recognition and appreciation of human beings, even though differences exist within humanity. The growth of social media, as well as fake news, are factors that foster intolerance in dialogue and difficulties in conflict resolution in Mozambique.
