This article analyzes the representation of the Black population in spaces of power in Brazil, with an emphasis on sectors such as politics, the labor market, higher education, and the media. Using a historical and sociological approach, it discusses how structural racism has contributed to the exclusion of Black people from leadership and decision-making positions. The text presents data that highlights racial inequality, even after the implementation of affirmative action policies, such as racial quotas in higher education and public service exams. Furthermore, it explores initiatives to promote Black identity and resistance, such as social movements, Black collectives, and emerging leaders. It concludes that, although progress has been made, Black representation still faces significant barriers and requires ongoing and structural actions to ensure equity and racial justice in Brazil.
