Adapted Physical Education has established itself as a fundamental area in promoting school inclusion, offering opportunities for students with disabilities to actively participate in school activities. This practice stands out for its ability to meet the specific needs of each student, ensuring their comprehensive development and fostering the creation of a more inclusive and welcoming school environment. This research addresses the importance of this discipline as a pedagogical tool for overcoming the barriers faced by students with disabilities in schools. The research question focuses on how Adapted Physical Education can be used effectively to promote inclusion, considering structural challenges and teacher training as key elements. (GREGUOL; GOBBI; CARRARO, 2018)
The relevance of this study lies in the need to deepen the debate on inclusive pedagogical practices that value diversity in the school environment. By providing an analysis based on scientific literature, the study seeks to contribute to the training of better-prepared educators and the improvement of pedagogical strategies aimed at meeting the needs of students.
The general and specific objectives of this study focus on analyzing the impacts of Adapted Physical Education on the social, motor, and cognitive development of students with disabilities. The aim is to identify effective practices and discuss the results of these interventions in building a more equitable and inclusive school environment.
Through a literature review, the study uses bibliographical sources such as scientific articles, books, and academic journals to support the discussions. This approach allows us to understand how Adapted Physical Education can transform challenges into opportunities, promoting school inclusion in a meaningful and sustainable way.
