Neurosurgery in Brazil is crucial in the treatment of diseases affecting the central and peripheral nervous systems. The hospital mortality associated with severe traumatic brain injuries stands out, underlining the need for effective surgical interventions to reduce intracranial pressure and repair structural damage. This study aims to analyze the main neurosurgeries performed in Brazil. The research was motivated by the need to understand the main neurosurgeries performed in the country and the factors that impact this scenario. The methodology of this integrative review was developed using the PICO strategy, and 5 articles were selected from the PubMed, SciELO and Cochrane Library databases, covering the period from 2014 to 2024. The inclusion criteria were studies in Portuguese and English, available in full, which discussed the topic. Exclusion criteria included studies unavailable in full, case studies and experience reports that did not address the topic. The results indicate that neurosurgeries in Brazil reveal that TBI is the most prevalent intervention. It is concluded that regional disparities have a direct impact on access to neurosurgical care for TBI and other major surgeries.
