This study examines the relationship between motivation and quality of work life (QWL) at the Instituto Superior Politécnico do Libolo (ISPTLO), considering the socioeconomic and infrastructural limitations of the municipality of Calulo. A mixed-methods approach was adopted, combining qualitative and quantitative analyses, with data collected through questionnaires administered to employees and semi-structured interviews. Findings reveal that, despite challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, scarcity of resources, and remoteness from urban centers, workers’ motivation is strengthened by factors such as professional recognition, job stability, and a positive organizational climate. Conversely, issues related to remuneration, growth opportunities, and physical working conditions negatively affect satisfaction and well-being. The study underscores the need for institutional policies focused on valuing human capital, highlighting that appropriate management strategies can mitigate the effects of contextual limitations and foster more motivating and sustainable work environments.
