Mathematics teaching has historically faced challenges related to conceptual understanding difficulties and student demotivation. With the advancement of digital technologies, new learning possibilities emerge, capable of transforming the educational process. This article investigates the role of technologies in mathematics teaching, analyzing digital tools such as educational software, interactive applications, online platforms, and virtual learning environments. The study seeks to understand how these technologies can improve student engagement, facilitate the visualization of abstract concepts, and provide immediate feedback. Furthermore, the study discusses existing gaps in teacher training and pedagogical practices, highlighting the need for training in the efficient use of these tools. The research also analyzes studies that highlight the positive impact of technological resources on student performance, as well as challenges related to infrastructure and resistance to pedagogical change. It was found that technology does not replace teachers, but rather enhances their strategies, promoting more dynamic teaching adapted to individual needs. Technologies foster active learning, encourage critical thinking, and stimulate collaborative problem-solving. The article also proposes recommendations for the effective integration of digital tools, emphasizing pedagogical planning, careful resource selection, and continuous assessment of educational outcomes. The article concludes that incorporating technologies into mathematics teaching is a promising path to overcoming historical learning challenges, but it depends on educational policies, teacher training, and investment in adequate infrastructure. Finally, it emphasizes that the research contributes to the understanding of innovative pedagogical practices, offering insights for teachers, administrators, and public policymakers focused on mathematics education.
