In our article, we address as the main objective the precarization of teaching work in Brazil, with a focus on education in Pernambuco, particularly regarding the public policies adopted by the state of Pernambuco in the field of education. For the methodological organization of this study, we employed, among other authors, a content analysis framework based on Bardin (1977). We focused on the analysis of academic productions (theses and dissertations) relevant to the period from 2007 to 2025, through which we identified categories such as working conditions, continuing education, public policies, appreciation of teaching work, and quality in education. The effects of the precarization of teaching in basic education were analyzed, with emphasis on the impacts of neoliberal policies, work intensification, salary devaluation, and the loss of teachers' autonomy. The dialectic within the analyzed studies and the dialogue with the authors revealed a commodification of education, the proletarianization of teaching work, with significant impacts on teachers' health and the quality of education.
