Abstract

This article analyzes the normative and institutional documents that regulate and guide training in Brazil's Multiprofessional Health Residency Programs (PRMS) between 2005 and 2022. Through documentary analysis, a predominance of guidelines aligned with competency-based pedagogy is identified, marked by the appreciation of practice and technical training to the detriment of critical political and philosophical foundations. The study contextualizes these guidelines within the framework of political and economic transformations, especially the advances and setbacks linked to the rise of neoliberal policies in Brazilian health and education.
