This article aimed to analyze how the teacher’s role has changed in the 21st century, considering the multiple challenges imposed by social, technological, and educational transformations. The methodology adopted was bibliographic research with a qualitative approach, through the analysis of books, articles, and documents that address contemporary teaching. The results indicate that teaching practice must be continuously reinvented through the enhancement of autonomy, sensitive listening, integration of digital technologies, and the strengthening of human relationships. The demands of today's society require teachers prepared to mediate knowledge, promote meaningful learning, and deal with the emotions, diversity, and conflicts that emerge in the school environment. It is concluded that teaching in the 21st century requires ongoing training, institutional support, and social recognition so that teachers can act with freedom, intentionality, and commitment to the holistic development of students.
