Abstract

Excessive litigation stands as a fundamental characteristic of the conflict resolution system in Brazil, revealing a legal culture based on judicialization as the first option. This article proposes to analyze the role of education as an instrument of social transformation and a preventive mechanism capable of reversing this reality. Based on theoretical foundations of education for citizenship, critical pedagogy, and practical experiences, the aim is to demonstrate how education can foster a culture of peace, mediation, and consensual conflict resolution.
