Symptoms of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder - ADHD were associated with Minimal Brain Injury - MCL during the 1940s and, in 1960, it was associated with Minimal Brain Dysfunction - DCM. ADHD is a neurobiological disorder, characterized by signs and symptoms of hyperactivity, impulsivity and inattention. This research addresses Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder - ADHD. It aims to analyze the characteristics of ADHD, in the light of theoretical studies that contribute to the understanding of this issue. The following specific objectives are listed: to identify conceptions about special education; investigate the characteristics of ADHD to diagnose the cognitive and behavioral causes that influence the infant's education. We methodologically use bibliographic research procedures. As for the results, we found that for the student with ADHD, the appropriation of educational proposals and resources that can provide access to quality education is proposed.
