MANAGING DIVERSITY IN THE CONTEXT OF THE 21ST CENTURY SCHOOL

The present work has as its main theme the Organizational Management in the school environment and brings a reflection of coexistence in diversity in the ethnic, cultural, economic and social context. The importance of diversity for learning to respect the different situations that may appear in everyday school life was discussed in the Introduction. Then, it was explained about the challenges faced by living in diversity and some of them in the school context and how fundamental a management based on principles of visibility is essential for 21st century citizen development requirements, emphasizing the qualities of participatory leadership with democratic managers in that know how to represent the school with ethics and respect for the individual differences of each one, accessible to the school community and to the families that participate in the institution. A developed school is one in which the management can count on employees and collaborators who work together towards success and administrative and pedagogical performance, aiming at the development of the student.
