Professional exhaustion, or burnout, is characterized as a state of mental exhaustion where the level of stress intensifies, resulting in physical and mental illness. It has shown an increase in recent years, resulting in a decrease in satisfaction in the workplace. This research aims to study the topic: Burnout. It aims to discuss illness caused by the work environment, covering its causes and consequences and defining treatment and prevention strategies. A quantitative, descriptive survey was used to analyze stressors that directly influence worker satisfaction. Research shows how the level of exhaustion acts negatively on health, intensifying stress, as a result, affecting your physical and emotional well-being. The results also show the relationship between job satisfaction and how it affects performance. Research indicates the need for individual and organizational interventions with the aim of improvements that minimize professional exhaustion and increase worker satisfaction in the work environment.
