This article aimed to report an experience lived during the supervised internship, a crucial stage in pharmaceutical education that allows the integration of theory and practice in real-world contexts. This report describes the activities carried out in a retail pharmacy in the municipality of Redenção, Ceará, during the mandatory curricular internship of the Pharmacy Bachelor’s program at UNILAB, between August and November 2023 and January to May 2024. The activities included pharmacotherapeutic follow-up, promotion of the rational use of medicines, educational workshops, and logistical organization of medications. These actions aimed not only at individualized pharmaceutical care but also at strengthening collective health care by promoting greater interaction between the pharmacist and the community. The experience enabled the development of technical and ethical competencies, highlighting the pharmacist’s role in health promotion, humanized care, and integration with other healthcare professionals. The results show the relevance of solid practical training to face labor market challenges and strengthen pharmaceutical care.
