The starting point was the observation of some shortcomings in the integration of Environmental Education in the reference school, raising the following problem: How to integrate Environmental Education into the 6th grade primary school curriculum of the Santa Clara de Assis Primary School number 75? The objective was to propose the integration of Environmental Education content into the 6th grade curriculum of the reference school in order to promote training that prepares students to become environmentally conscious citizens. A descriptive research with a qualitative-quantitative approach was adopted, involving students, teachers and school management, through a questionnaire survey and interview. The data obtained were analyzed according to the proposed objective and the pertinent theories. The results showed that the school has the possibility of integrating Environmental Education content into the curriculum through the pedagogical project in light of the interdisciplinary approach and based on the curricular flexibility provided for in articles 13 and 41 of Presidential Decree number 162/23, of August 1, specifically in items a), c) and h) and in articles 105 of Basic Law number 32/20.
