Childhood anxiety is an emotional condition characterized by excessive fear and worry in children. These feelings can manifest themselves in different ways, such as fear of separation from parents, fear of new situations, and concern about school performance. It is important to be aware of these signs in order to offer the necessary support to children and help them deal with their emotions in a healthy way. Addressing the clinical and physiological manifestations of this mental disorder in children and adolescents is the importance of early detection of symptoms and difficulties related to anxiety, which is essential to prevent other disorders that may arise in adolescence and adulthood. The aim is to investigate the symptoms of childhood anxiety and associated risk factors and to treat anxiety from an early age to significantly contribute to a more balanced life without negative impacts on professional or academic life. The study is an integrative review with a qualitative approach. The expected results include clarification of the main symptoms, so that friends and family can be more alert to the children around them, thus being able to offer the best possible help to the children. The aim is to investigate the increase in the frequency of Childhood Anxiety Disorder in school-age children, this scenario can have serious repercussions on the physical and mental health of children, in addition to affecting social relationships and overall development. It is crucial that there is awareness and early intervention to deal with this problem and ensure a healthy environment that is conducive to the emotional and social development of children.
