This paper analyzes how social networks shape public opinion on legal topics. Based on bibliographic research and analysis of high-engagement posts and videos on Instagram, Twitter and YouTube, dissemination patterns and potential distortions of legal content were identified. It was found that these platforms expand access to debates on court decisions and legislation, but also favor simplified and inaccurate versions of complex themes. The research employs an exploratory and descriptive approach, combining quantitative engagement metrics with qualitative discourse analysis. The results offer practical guidelines for lawyers, communicators and legal practitioners to enhance clarity, accuracy and responsibility in the online dissemination of legal information. It is concluded that the conscious use of social networks can strengthen public understanding and reduce instances of misinformation.
