This study analyzes the effectiveness of the Emergency Protective Measures of the Maria da Penha Law in combating domestic violence against women in Manaus, focusing on police action and structural and cultural challenges. The context addresses the high rates of violence in the region, aggravated by factors such as underreporting, cultural resistance, and institutional limitations. The objective is to assess the advances and obstacles in the implementation of these measures, highlighting their applicability in recent decades (2000, 2010, and 2020). The relevance of the study lies in the need to strengthen public policies and promote greater integration between agencies responsible for protecting victims. The methodology is based on a literature review and critical analysis of data on the subject. The results indicate that, despite legislative advances and initiatives such as the "Maria da Penha Patrol", challenges such as lack of resources, operational overload, and non-compliance with protective measures persist. It is concluded that investments in training, technology, and social awareness are essential to ensure a more efficient and inclusive response.
