Genito-pelvic pain is a complex and often silent condition that compromises the physical, emotional and sexual aspects of women's lives. It can manifest itself in various ways, including dyspareunia, vaginismus and vulvodynia, and is often underdiagnosed or inadequately treated. Given its multifactorial nature - involving musculoskeletal, neurological, gynaecological, psychological and social factors - pelvic physiotherapy has emerged as an essential, humanized and personalized therapeutic approach. This integrative literature review showed that resources such as biofeedback, electrotherapy, manual therapy and motor control exercises help to reduce pain, improve muscle function and increase the quality of life of these patients. In addition to physical gains, physiotherapy treatment favors the re-signification of a woman's relationship with her own body. Empathetic welcoming and interdisciplinary action also proved decisive for the success of the treatment. We conclude that pelvic physiotherapy goes beyond the technical aspect, becoming a space for listening, comprehensive care and recognition of the particularities of female pain. We advocate the expansion of public policies and specific training aimed at humanization and a biopsychosocial approach to care.
