This article aims to analyze the scenario of sexual abuse and exploitation of children and adolescents in Brazil, and the inefficiency of the state in combating this, given the growing number of cases, highlighting the importance of cooperation between the State, the family and civil society in the comprehensive protection of children and youth. The article will address the insufficiency of public policies, the role of each entity protecting rights, the obstacles that hinder the effectiveness of government actions and omissions in the law. The research will be based on statistical data, relevant legislation and academic studies, aiming to propose solutions to improve measures to prevent and repress these crimes.
