Artificial Intelligence (AI) has stood out as a crucial technological innovation in medicine, especially in the field of radiology. This paper analyzes the various clinical applications of AI in diagnostic imaging, highlighting its fundamental role in increasing diagnostic accuracy, optimizing workflows, and reducing medical errors. Additionally, it discusses the benefits provided by AI for both healthcare professionals and patients, emphasizing improvements in efficiency and quality of care. The study also addresses the ethical, legal, and technical challenges involved in implementing these technologies, such as data privacy, algorithmic biases, and legal liability in the event of failures. It emphasizes the importance of balancing the use of AI with the critical judgment of human professionals, as well as the need for ongoing training to ensure the safe and effective use of the technology. Finally, it presents future perspectives for integrating AI into radiological practice, concluding that, when employed ethically and as a complement, artificial intelligence has the potential to positively transform healthcare, promoting significant advances in medicine.
