Abstract

Introduction: The nurse of the Family Health Strategy (ESF) is the professional who has an essential role in promoting health and preventing diseases as an educational form in the health of the elderly since they are actively assisting this elderly population. radução do resumo para um idioma a ser escolhido pelo aluno e orientador. Seguir a mesma formatação do resumo. Objective: To highlight the importance of the Nurse in the gerontological reception of the elderly in the Family Health Strategy. Materials and Methods: For the development of this study, bibliographic research with a qualitative approach and of a descriptive nature was considered. Thus, the research was carried out in the databases SciELO, Google Scholar, Pubi Med, Una SUS, Ministry of Health and a survey of scientific productions related to the subject. Results: The nurse in the excellence of his/her work when welcoming the elderly in the unit must maintain an enlightening dialogue, offering a comfortable, safe and welcoming environment.
