Abstract

This study aims to investigate the contributions identified in the academic literature on the interdisciplinarity between music and literature in education. Through a qualitative approach, the PRISMA protocol was adopted (Galvão, Pansani and Harrad, 2015), resulting in a comprehensive analysis of seven articles. The results will reveal a lack of research on the topic, especially not the national context, pointing to the need for studies that explore local realities. Furthermore, the figures confirm the influence of the integration between music and literature in the development of cognitive and socio-emotional skills, as well as in the formation of critical, empathetic and culturally aware individuals. As its main contribution, this article offers literature a broader and more systematic overview of interdisciplinary practices in different educational contexts. These results can serve as support for teachers in the elaboration of interdisciplinary pedagogical strategies, promoting the expansion of these practices in the educational field.
