This article aims to discuss the learning process of children/adolescents who become ill and need to continue their academic life within a hospital environment. What are the possibilities for learning and what is the importance of the teacher within the hospital, and what rights do these individuals have to continue studying? The text also aims to point out the challenges and difficulties that illness brings, doubts between death and cure, and the recovery of self-esteem in this environment.
