PEDOPHILIC DISORDER: A CRIMINOLOGICAL STUDY ON PEDOPHILIA

This article deals with aspects of pedophilic disorder and criminological studies of this profile. Pedophilic disorder consists of the perpetrator's innate desire to have affective and sexual relationships with minors under 18 years of age, generally children, which ends up being known as pedophilia, often confused with crime. The general objective is to carry out a criminological study on pedophilic disorder, investigating its psychological and behavioral characteristics, and to understand how this relationship can help in the prevention of pedophilia crime, and specifically a) to analyze the psychological, social and behavioral aspects associated with pedophilic disorder; b) to investigate how the pedophile's mind works and understand the relationship with crimes; c) to understand the difference between pedophilic disorder and the crime of pedophilia, differentiating the concepts of attraction and criminal action; d) to investigate how social networks and digital influencers induce child sexualization and the normalization of desire and fantasy involving children; and, e) propose preventive and therapeutic solutions with the aim of rehabilitating diagnosed individuals. The research methodology used was based on a qualitative and interdisciplinary approach, with documentary research, bibliographic review and psychological and medical analyses.
