THE ROLE OF THE SCHOOL MANAGER IN THE CONTINUING TRAINING OF TEACHERS

The main objective of the study was to discuss the role of the school manager in the continuous training of teachers, within a perspective of interaction between teacher-training management, seeking to identify elements that indicate improvement of teachers' performance, teachers and the process of teaching learning by the students. The participants of this research were managers of the schools of the state network of the municipality of São José do Egito-PE, Regional Management of Sertão de Alto Pajeú. The research, based on action research, involved the elaboration of a questionnaire and semi-structured interviews. The results were analyzed and structured qualitatively aiming at the understanding of the readership regarding the role of the manager in the execution of public policies that guarantee the quality of teaching-learning. As a theoretical reference, the conceptions of the authors LIBANEO (2015); FERREIRA (2009); VASCONCELLOS (2000); LUCK (2004), among others that consider the role of the primary school manager in the continuing education of teachers and in the quality of the teaching - learning process.
