Ultrasound in Endodontics emerged to facilitate cavity preparation, promoting a minimally invasive approach, with more conservative cuts. This advanced technology is crucial for the success of endodontic treatments, as it improves the cleaning and infection of root canals. Ultrasound is effective in removing filling material, assists in the instrumentation of calcified canals and locates accessory canals. During access to canals, it provides fine cuts and minimizes damage to adjacent tissues, improving visibility. The objective of this research was to present an updated and well-founded analysis on ultrasound in Endodontics. For this purpose, a bibliographic search was used in the main databases, giving preference to articles published between 2005 and 2025. It can be concluded that the use of ultrasound in the various stages of endodontic treatment is an important advance, bringing better and more predictable results.
