THE CONTRIBUTION OF PSYCHOMOTRICITY IN CHILD DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the contribution of psychomotricity in child development. This research adopted a qualitative methodology, involving the application of questionnaires as a data collection instrument with P1 and P2 teachers from a Municipal Daycare Center in the city of Escada/PE, focusing on the district of Frexeiras/PE. This work is based on Gritti (2022) and Oliveira (2010). The results obtained indicated that the didactics of psychomotricity becomes indispensable in the behavioral aspects of the child since movement is entirely related to the functioning of the body. The conclusion of this study highlights that psychomotricity is a fundamental tool for the total performance of the child through their motor and intellectual aspects.
